I like one of James's descriptions though I'm not sure where I read it. He says that someone had a nose like some bird's beak and that he'd pecked out many hearts with it. Does anyone know the exact quote and which novel it's from? I think I may actually have read it in quotation somewhere and not read the novel it's from.
