Lale, your "friend's" assessment of The Great Gatsby and Tender is the Night is fairly similar to mine, and I would say that This Side of Paradise is not as worthwhile as either of those two novels. If I were to rank the books we've read in 2007, all of which were good to be sure, it would probably be last or next to last. Tell L.E. to give priority to W&P.
