Let's go back a few short years. Corey Maggette acknowledged receving inproper benefits and so did the agent involved before going to Duke AND after being in school at Duke...yet, did anything happen to the Pollock coach K or the ESPN Blue Devils??? Nothing..! Not even a slap on the wrist! Muhammed Lesage was royally screwed by the NCAA! The Derrick Rose fiasco is another story. You CLEAR a student/athlete, THEN, you decide to strip the SCHOOL of a final four, National Runner-Up, etc. Believe me, I have never been a Memphis fan, but it is so far beyond OBVIOUS that the NCAA is going to go after certain schools and NOT after others????
Believe me, IF the NCAA found that Kelley received improper benefits in light of the Maggetti blunder, do you HONESTLY think they CARE???
I will make a prediction, UK will get caught doing SOMETHING improper but ONLY because they will (and always have been) scrutinized with a microscope.
Like I said Jason - and I know you are not that niave - they ALL cheat. UofL, UK and YES IU (Isaiah Thomas came from the ghetto of Chicago, yet he was driving a high priced sports car WHILE a student athlete AT IU!!!).
If I were the University of Memphis, I would SUE THE PISS out of the NCAA!
I am not saying it is right to cheat, but the NCAA cannot hand pick whom they will investigate and let schools like Duke and UNC go untouched. Come on, EVERY McDonald's ALL American WANTS to go sit the bench in the Dean Dome???? LMAO!
