ok guys,
stopped by kristys, met with the owner (dean), what a great guy and what a
great place..
i think we scored in a big way. thanks again to angela for coming up with
the location.
the address is 3225 midway, its north of rosecrans/south of sports arena
blvd, right behind the target. big yellow sign on the street. its the old
woodcarvers pizza place if you are familiar with that. kristysmvp.com
sports.... just the nicest guy. the place is packed with memorabilia from
all sports and teams. he made the comment to me that he was surprised no one
has adopted kristys yet. i am too. he wants to be the home of the
raiders....he wants us!!! we wont be relegated to the loft, off to the
side, we are the main event. the main floor, the main tv. the other teams
fans have to go to the loft, to the back room...its really nice/awesome!
this place, i hope, will be embraced by everyone. theres plenty of parking
in back. theres lots of other tvs with the other games on.
he has no problem with banners, raffles. do what we want. its our
place...!!! he told me straight out that if he needed to hire security for
non-club rowdies, it would be no problem and indicated that he would rely on
us for direction in this area....that he would not change his opinion about
our club or our members from an isolated incident of nonclub people...but if
they walk in the door, they are gonna be members, right suzette!! theres
a pool table in back, some video games.
it appeared he had a killer video/cd/dvd set up attached to the tv set, i
mentioned that we would really like to play some raider music, theme song,
etc and play some old videos as a lead in to the game, he kinda hesitated a
bit, said he really wasnt set up just yet for that, but he would make it
happen in the coming weeks. whatever we want.... this guy is the
greatest...i have to say i am very excited about the prospects. please plan
to come and show your support for your raider club, even if you only stay
for little bit, come on out and give support, lets have a good showing....
i didnt really ask about a specific discount, before i could, dean told me
that he would give us his normal monday night madness specials
during the game. they look great to me...4 bucks for his 7$ burger...thats
better than the 10% at the last place.... i am just going to include the
