Glad I'm not racing tonight or riding home tomorrow evening.

As you all know, a "viedo feed" is like a video feed, but better. Ahem.
BOL on TV

Coverage on MOTORS TV is excellent. And it`s on for hours n hours. Miss Roger Benett, but Jack Burnicle and Terry Rymer are a good pairing doing a great job. Had to come away or I`ll get f`all done today.
Also love the big update on the site Mart. Information overload. Great. FIM should be ashamed of their second rate efforts ( but they`d have to have a conscience for that ).
Luv to all :-)
( except French officials and other miscellaneous French cheating, obviously ).
SERT?

I've really surpassed myself this year, I think. :o)
Anyone know what happened to SERT?

Well it got wet again with everyone dropping to 2:00 laps, my guess is a small off.

It was a small off, but in typical SERT stylie, it was within spitting distance of the pit lane entry. Dominique got the repair done for the loss of only 4 laps. Glad to be tucked up on a nice warm sofa this evening.

The coverage gets better every year - FIM TV are doing a good job considering their limited budget. Agreed that Jack and Terry seemed to pair up well but was I the only one wondering what Terry was on about every time he said anything about technical stuff? OK, some of the technical stuff has moved on, but most of it must have been the same when he was racing?

Sitting in the back garden drinking very cold red wine from the bottle watching the bikes flash under the start line bridge on the big screen ( through the French doors ). I have let off some fireworks, burnt down my shed and the neighbours are now cutting up rough about the occasional session of bouncing the silencer less bike off the rev limiter. It's almost like being there. Now, where did I leave my tent !

You had a tent !!
eeeh, luxury.
I`ve covered the patio in broken green stella bottles, knocked a big hole through next doors larch lap being careful to leave some nails sticking out, collected a big pile of wooden pallets tied with rope to the back of a sit on lawnmower ( unsilenced, natch ) and driven it up and down the close with my mate skiing along behind on it, with an air horn and a suspicious stain on his second best trousers and only one boot on; the smoke from the conifers fills the air with a heady perfume and I`ve done a burn out with one of the backwheels of the Volvo ( I think it`s got a slow puncture anyway ) but I`m not sure what I`m gonna do next to make the sound of sirens get louder again.
There`s a bike race on somewhere you say ?
Only another twenty minutes to go and there`ll only be just 12 hours to go ;-)
I`m just getting my second wind. Too many o` them burnt sausages I think.

Just invite 5 drunken french to have a shit in your tent, good atmosphere at bol as always. Thats not a camping there, thats a scene of Apocalyse now. The only way to survive there is in paddock imo.

Great race, almost down to the wire.
Well done TT Legends for a great stop strategy; only two teams made fewer stops depsite the off.
Congratulations to all the finishers.

1 Phillippe double stinted 1st 2 hours and jumped off at the pit lane entrance shortly into his 2nd hour, breaking his shoulder. He pushed back anyway and then skived off to hospital leaving the other 2 to finish the race. We kept waiting for them to tire and slow down.... A monumental effort and they nearly got the win! 2 TTL ABS had already failed and reverted to 'off' mode well before the crash - which it would have obviously prevented. Working on both the 'rolling when it hits the grass' and 'tank flies off' problems! Quite amazing to lose half an hour and still have 15mins in hand before losing a point in the championship! 3 Damo was also double stinted for the 1st 2 hours and also fell shortly into his second stint. I'm not aware of any other team doing this - seems like a really good idea on a drying track - but worked out really badly for both teams. 4 This was probably the most expensive race for years in terms of the amount and seriousness of the crashing that was done! Plenty of bikes were totalled in practice and qualifying as well as the race. One team (YART?) didn't qualify their 3rd rider till the 2nd session as they had run out of bikes!
