Daisaku Sakai crashed after 15 minutes of free practice on Wednesday. He has a dislocated shoulder. Only Vincent Philippe and Anthony Delhalle will race for SERT.

      Ouch.

From my prediction: "with SERT making a rare mistake"...

Looks like they've got their mistake in early. Let's hope it's the only one...

Re: Daisaku Sakai not to race in Qatar .. and now Philippe?

... and now little bit sorry to inform that during Q1 practice, just after a really fast lap in 2.01 low also Philippe faced a crash.

Bike was back to box totally damaged and up to now information in my hands on rider situation.

Also Bellucci rider (MCS team) faced a crash yesterday evening and for sure out of the race now (supposed broken collarbone and some rips too).

As usual and known, when a crash happened here in such fast and difficult Losail circuit, rarely riders will be back with the bike to the pit ....

        keep posted

It is essential to crash on the inside of the track as the push from outside is very long, very hot and has to go down and up an underpass. The only person I know who has done it is Glen Richards in 08 after he had been briefed that it was essential for the bike to be returned in the event of a crash so that we could get enough points to maintain our 7th place in EWC, which we did. It nearly did him in though!
The only other crasher I know of this year was Peter Hickman on the No Limits bike who came off when oil leaked from a cracked case. As far as I know he got it back no problem but obviously they could not continue with that fault.
