- Qatar Entry List: Just 21 Teams

Just 21 teams have entered the Qatar 8 Hour round of the Endurance FIM World Championship.
17 permanent teams are listed on the official entry, along with “junior” teams from 2009 World Endurance Champions Yamaha Austria Racing and Superstock Endurance Cup winners Qatar Endurance Racing Team.
The YART second bike will be ridden by competitors from the Austrian R6 Cup while the two QERT Junior Teams will be piloted by local competitors. The only proper wildcard entry for the Qatar round will be Mean Machine Superstock Suzuki GSX-R1000 of Shiekh Sultan Al Thani and Shiekh Saud Al Thani.
Warwick Nowland will be joining Arie Vos and Olivier Depoorter on the RMT21 Honda Fireblade, but there is no sign of the either of the Cudlin brothers who had been due to ride for Phase One. Nowland, however, is happy to be back in the saddle: “This is a great opportunity for me to get ready for 2010, my ‘comeback’ year!
“I have missed the Championship but the time away has been really enjoyable. Now is a good time to put things in place and prepare for next season. There are so many things that need to come together but Thomas [Roth, the team owner] and other people within the industry are working hard to make sure 2010 is a strong year.
“One very important factor is the people in the team and RMT21 have great people. Qatar should be fun. It’s one of my favourite circuits and the temperature doesn’t bother me at all. As usual, it is a race so I am taking it seriously and hoping to finish on the podium.”
The Qatar 8 Hour race takes place on Saturday (not Sunday) the 14th of November, starting at 13:00 local time – 10:00 GMT, 11:00CET – and running through for a night time finish at 21:00 local, 18:00 GMT and 19:00 CET. Practice and Qualifying start on Thursday the 12th.

81.134.98.27Al Jazeera TV have done a lot of coverage for the last 2 yrs on their sports network. Last year I found links that looked hopeful, but seeing as I was trying to stream it at work I couldn't get it through our fire-wall. Someone like yourself should be able to figure that one out and hopefully share with the rest of us! - ris-timing.be
