    Spectators info at the spot

I visited some endurance races in recent months and what strikes me each time is the total lack of info you get as spectator.
Almost no one makes good use of twitter for instance to bring live feed.
Luckily ACO 24H LeMans, now does give info.
But at recent BMEC races there was no info at all.
I was doing some short updates via twitter #BMEC but the longer the race took, the less info you recieved form the official speaker. So in the end it was like watching along the fastlane.

How do you get your info when you are visting races if you don't have your eye on a timing screen in pilane?

There are 93000 spectators attending this we, I'm sure there are some that don't even know who has won, when they leave home...and not becuz they had a few drinks to much.
