Three permanent world championship teams have made it through to the Special Stage qualifying at Suzuka.

The fastest time was set by Yoshimura Suzuki's Yukio Kagayama (2:07.824), with FCC TSR Honda second and HARC-Pro Honda third.

YART's local hero Nakasuga was fourth (2:09.045), BMW Motorrad's Nigon seventh (2:09.852) and GMT94's Lagrive ninth (2:10.429).

It's unusual enough for one permanent team to make it through to Superpole; for three teams Well done guys!

The special stage takes place tomorrow, with one rider from each team setting a base time, then his team mate attempting to beat it.

SERT Suzuki are 15th, Bolliger Kawasaki 16th and TT Legends Honda 20th. 52 teams have qualified.
