Dear Mr. Max - One's opinion

    Hi Max,
Just did my bi-weekly 'message board' check to see if anything is going on.

Finally, someone got me pissed-off enough to put a post up on the Drivel-Board

Just a little comment on your message, I hope you enjoy your little holiday-adventure driving down to Doha by truck.

Maybe a good idea to tell you that at P1 they're actually spending what-ever little money there is on going racing. Having the best machinery possible and desperately trying to save something of this season, with whatever budget is left.

Everyone at P1 are there not because they 'love Russell' so much, but because they want to go racing. 'If he put some 'injurance' on his staff , he could probably make some money, when they pass Bagdad city.' - F#*K YOU!!!

As to 'make some money' - just from knowing the guy a little better than you do. Every penny is going into racing. I bet you have a better car, better phone, latest laptop, TV or whatever consumer bulldroppings you need to wank yourself off-to when speaking to other people about yourself!

A little note to all the whingers, piss-takers and complainers. Everyone seems to expect P1 to have good (expensive) Bikes, Good (expensive) Riders, lots of (expensive) Spares & kit, a nice (you get the drift) Truck. That's before any diesel in the truck to get there, 6 qualifying tyres, Ferry crossings and 200 euros fee for a 17 year-old 14" TV at Le Mans! Let’s not forget better engine parts, uprated ECU, Dyno time, more track testing, more spare wheels, quick throttle, gearboxes etc etc… and of course spares for the whole paddock.

Fact is, someone’s got to cough-up for all this! Cash Sponsors are extremely hard to come-by, this year more than ever. Unless You have some personal friends that just want to have their egos tossed-off in an 'affordable world championship' it seems.

Other sponsors 'particularly paint, rust-prevention, chrome, electrical and engineering companies' as said in another post, aren’t glamorous, but at least they're there and doing something in a championship that frankly, is treated like C£@P by it's promoters and organizers and doesn't seem to get any publicity anywhere.

It doesn't cease to amaze me (well it did a long time ago), how so many people can tell you how crap a scratch on the frame looks. But when it comes to stripping the bike, cleaning it and getting it down to the paint-shop, there only seem to be a handful of individuals that are able to lift their finger-up and do it! Let alone take stock, modify, repair, or god forbid - MAKE something!
If something’s wrong, oh! There will be a queue to tell you about it!
Do anything about it? Same old faces!

We had one horrible season! That really wasn't us 'blind mice' or our 'piper's fault! Some of us do our utmost-best to do what we can to field the best machines we can in the best set-up and support to run them.

It's not out of a blind following of our 'leader'!
Who ever IS there, is only there out of a love of the sport, and because some of us have put it in so much (not just money!). they don't want to see it all just disappear, 25th year or not, it's only a number.
If any of us have anything to say to him you can bet that we do! But at the end we’re not the one’s that need to dig that bit deeper or risk going bust for it!

About the rider dispute, unfortunately we have simply run-out of available cash, riders of a certain calibre demand to get paid. I have contacted the people in this dispute privately before any postings here. Any more is none of any ones business apart from those involved.
As Martin said it isn't a subject for a public message board.

I bet your 'Old Iveco' is the kind of truck with flashy paint work. And a really nice paint job on the fairings of your bikes, but take them off, and the thing looks like a turd rolled in the dirt. For some people it’s satisfactory. I try not to associate with them.

One last thing, a quote that helps keep me going is: “There is always room at the top, and it’s damned crowded down below. Why shouldn’t one get there? It only needs a little more attention to detail and determination than the average fellow is prepared to give’ By Henry Segrave – a British racer and land speed record contender from the 30’s.
Nothing’s changed really, apart from the fact money and ‘show’ seem to account for far too much nowadays.

Anyway, enjoy your jolly - holiday, I won’t be there, as I’ve spent all my available time-off from work in a vain attempt to try and get some better results in the preceding races. In the expense of other projects / costs of other things some people seem to need to have (holiday lying on the beach, latest consumer shite). Yes, it IS my hobby and I’m not complaining, It’s MY free choice. If I wanted to spend my free time sitting around, watching TV, scratching my sacks I would’ve. Seems to be the popular choice…

    XXX

    F-U, Ben Nahum

To Martin, Really gutted you were not at the ‘Bol because of unreasonably high fees to promote someone-else’s race event in what ever media’s that will. Don’t use that 6 letter ‘F’ word, you’d think they’ll try and promote this championship…
