At the halfway stage , the leaders are topping the 400 lap mark and are seperated by about 30 seconds , SERT & GMT . ( Austria are 5th , but it doesn`t really matter , that`s a done deal already ) . There are 44 teams still running with 9 retirements . The leading SST team is Maccio in 9th overall and there is a Polish & Czech BMW 5th in that class ( 15th overall ). Highest placed Englishman appears to be the French Licensed Gregg Black , aboard the RAC41 bike in 7th . Other Brit interest rides with Calvin Hogan in last place but one , although they are running at the pace of teams ten or more places higher than themselves , so anything could happen and an overnight fightback must be their aim . Other Brit interest that we haven`t heard much about is Samuel Matthews who is credited as GBR on the timesheets , in 40th place on the SST Suzuki of ACR74 ( He could be making Calvins aquaintance about now ). Maco and LMS72 , who caused the carnage on the first lap , are now squabling over 34th & 35th places , although in different classes . The back markers are just over the 300 lap mark . Finally . There is a Ducati still running . Yes a Ducati has made it to the half way point of the Bol d`Or . Stunning . Albeit that - even their fastest - laptime is 8 seconds off the pace of the top six teams and the leaders will be getting quite bored of lapping them three times per Rota . Bolliger are fighting for 20th / 21st , Go Bolly . Shame Alfs Kawasaki aren`t racing .
