Damo's crash was quite light as end over end crashes go (last corner rode in only lost 2.5 laps) but Pedro's (2nd to last corner pushed in) was probably the worst since I've been on the team in terms of damage. Imediately obvious that not worth fixing it. Only bruises to riders.
I have 2 squidged tanks, one is totally written off, I think the first time that has happened since we have been on Yamahas. Before you say anything Chubby it is half the height it used to be, leaks from everywhere, has dents in every face and even the filler mounting plate is bent!
Before I left on Tues the weather forcast was for a thunderstorm there on Sunday night - at 7pm we were joking about how rubbish that was as we prepared another set of slicks. By 9pm a massive thunderstorm had stopped the race!
Amadeus are a changed team from last year when they seemed like they had lots of money but could not spend it on the right things. Now they are without doubt one of the top teams and would certainly give us a good race - their results in 09 are not just due to other teams bad luck - so well done them. RT and Maco are also improved teams over last year. RT deserve a mention for leading the race on lap 1 as well! (or was that No Limits? It was certainly a surprise leader anyway! I'm sure someone can confirm)
