A parent group ASCEND is sponsoring Michelle Garcia Winner for a conference on Nov. 7 in East Norriton, PA (Presidential Caterers). I believe it is only around 45.00 for the day. I had the pleasure of seeing Michelle at ASHA in Atlanta- she is the best in my opinion as far as social/pragmatic evaluation and goals. She goes out on a limb and says what we all know- there are no standardized tests for pragmatic skills. She uses activities, observation and that lost art "clinical judgement" to make her conclusions, intiate therapy and document growth. You can register on line by contacting ASCEND- do a google search- THis is also a great oraganization to join for anyone working with Asperger's children.
