This conference again should be one the best in the Midwest. It is one day and presenters include National ELL guru Christine Freiberg, Wisconsin Department of Instruction SL coordinator Sheryl Squier and David Perrodin, Assistant Director of Special Education at CESA 5 in Portage, Wisconsin. This year's conference theme is "Navigating the ELL-SL interface" and will focus on the SLP's role with ELL students. Noon meal is included, vendors on-site, LCD-2 manual to all participants and probably less than $100 for this all day event. It's a bargain - went to last year's and it was the best conference I ever attended. These people know school-based SL, and it's non-profit. You'll leave with materials you can use. I recommend it.
