A group of us from nearby Philadelphia took a road trip on July 1, 2003 to tour the ASHA National Headquarters in Rockville, Md. We arranged the tour through Claudette Quamie at ASHA. We were thrilled with the tour, learning many new things about ASHA and the services that they provide for the school based clinicians. We got to personally see our membership dues at work. We talked to the designers of our publications, to web designers, to produce sales personnel, and to the Director of Convention Planning. We particularly wanted to see her, because ASHA 2004 will be in Philadelphia, and we wanted to express some ideas regarding Pennsylvania features for the Convention. All in all, it would be worth your time and a trip to ASHA National Headquarters to get a real flavor for all they do for you. Enjoy it and be proud.
