I’m an amateur photographer looking to develop his personal portfolio in black & white male figure photography to one day publish a coffee table book.
If you are over 18 and have a look, I might be interested in photographing you. I use digital camera and I sometimes will use 35 mm film.
I'm looking for all types of guys: Muscle jocks, Abercrombie types, College guys, Muscle studs, Muscle bears, Rave boys, Beginners, Swimmers, all types. Modeling for me is not an indication of one's sexual preference. I photograph straight men, bisexuals and gay men.
The types of themes vary depending on the model and his body type or what he will be comfortable in doing. I’ve done outdoor, shower, bathroom, hotel room, on a bed, watching TV, on a balcony, in a chair etc. It varies on the model and his interest or look. I’m always interested in outdoor themes, like urban landscapes in the background or things with interesting lines.
A lot of guys are under the impression that photographers want their models shaved. Not true. I'd rather shoot a set of photos with full pubic hair and armpit hair, and if shaving or trimming of facial hair, pubic hairs, chests, legs and armpits is necessary it can always be done on the set. Shaving can cause irritation and red bumps that show up under the lights and are hard to remove from the final photos.
Get your rest. Photo sessions can be long hard work and can take a couple hours, the minimum is three hours. The model will look his best when he is rested. You will want to avoid any hard partying before your session - stay away from alcohol and drugs.
You must be uninhibited, able to sign a full and unconditional release and true to your description. Send your photos, with name of city, and your real age (not the age your friends tell you look like). And what type of modeling you are willing to do - underwear, swimwear, nude, partial nude, etc. - just give me something to go on.
I'm always looking for new men to photograph. But one thing that is very important when you do a photo session is to be prepared. It’s your session and you will want to look your best.
Usually models work for TFP (time for print), meaning they get a copy of the pictures taken during the session as payment, in hard or digital copy. Others prefer money. The going rate is approx 35$/hr, with a minimum of 3 hours for a session.
