Posted by Susan G. Pearl, Historian on August 4, 2005, 11:20 pm, in reply to "Wife of Bradley Allen - TRIPLE HOMICIDE IN 1919" I will check our newspaper sources, as well as our obituary, undertaker and burial records and let you know whether we have anything. It would greatly help me if you can tell me in what month of the year 1919 this tragedy occurred. You should also contact the Laurel Historical Society, if you have not already, through its website: www.laurelhistory.org/ I will look forward to learning which month in 1919. If you can respond soon, I can start looking things up this Saturday (8/6) when I will be working at the PGCHS library. Susan G. Pearl, Historian --Previous Message--

To: David Woolley
: I would like to learn more about a triple
: homicide back in 1919 in Laurel. The wife
: of Bradley Allen (a distant relative) was
: one of the victims. This must have been an
: extraordinary event of the time. I would
: expect to make a personal visit to the area
: to do my research but I would like someone
: to "point the way" to locations
: that would have information on these
: murders. eg: Newspaper accounts
: Coroner's inquiry
: Police reports
: Grave locations
: Other items of interest
: I look forward to hearing from anyone that
: can provide information on this unforunate
: event for family history purposes.
: thanks, David A. Woolley
