I just read a little article in one of the Calvert County papers about abandoned or lost church buildings in Calvert. It said that there used to be several Quaker meeting houses in Calvert and the Quakers eventually left the area and some went to Baltimore. Records exist in Baltimore of the Quakers. You may want to approach your search from that angle. Perhaps the Maryland Historical Society or the Maryland Archives would have some info. Just a thought. The center of Quaker activity seems to have been West River-Galesville area....there is a Quaker cemetery there...in Anne Arundel. You mentioned plantations...the Quakers eventually split, I think, partially because of the slavery issue...I don't think they believed in holding slaves. Another one of my surmises....not a fact...I know of one Methodist church in Calvert that split on that issue and had two churches side by side in a field for decades.
