Driving south on the Beltway on the right hand side, just past the exit for Ritchie-Marlboro Road there is an impressive looking wooden home high on a hill with some barns surrounding it. There is a lot of clearing going on so I assume the surrounding area is being developed. I was interested to know the significance, if any, of this home.
Also, I have come across a Library of Congress web site with pictures of numerous historic homes in the county. I am interested in Elgerton Hall and Essington Hall, listed as being off Old Mount Oak Rd. in the Mitchellville area. Are these two homes still standing or are there any site remains to be seen ? Thank You.
