Mr Opsasnick is definitely the expert on PG County music venues particularly those that were once along Bladensburg Road.
His book Miscellaneous and Unknown: Cultural Souvenirs from Prince George's County, Maryland contains a lot of lore on local oddities. The cover even shows him standing in front of the Crossroads.
Sad to say the last time I went by the Crossroads (a couple of days ago) the famous neon sign had been removed.
