If you did not, you would probably not find anything very helpful at our library, though it is rare for anyone to come here and NOT find good stuff! Let me know whether you have reason to associate later generations of the family with PGC, and also let me know whether you can associate any members of the family with any particular church - this could be a source of more information.
Good luck with your search!

: Hi, I'm new here. My 7th great-grandfather on
: my dad's side was Henry Acton II
: (1677-1742), born in Longnor, Shropshire,
: England. He was the son of Henry Acton and
: Hannah Corbet (family associated with
: Moreton Corbet Castle) and married Ann
: (Hannah Marriott Penn). He emigrated to PG
: County around 1700 and his family started a
: large tobacco plantation in southern
: Maryland. His granddaughter, Eleanor
: (daughter of Henry III) married into the
: Smallwoods. I'm descended from Henry II's
: son, John (1715-1770).
:
: I live near Fredericksburg, VA and would
: like to visit PG Co, but don't know what to
: look for relative to my interests there.
: Does anyone know if there are any remnants
: from this family to see there?
