An O. Duffy and a Eugene O. Duffy are listed in the 1870 and 1880 censuses respectively - presumably the same person - born in Ireland around 1837 and living in Bladensburg. The location of a property belonging to Eugene Duffy is shown in the Hopkins Atlas of 1878 - available here http://www.mdslavery.net/images/pg_atlas_1878.pdf
Go to page 15 and if you look to the north west of Hyattsville/Bladensburg, you will see it. It correlates roughly to modern-day Prince George's Plaza, off Queens Chapel Road.
He also has some connection to the Freedman's Bureau School of Bladensburg and we can provide more information on this as we find it.
