As I indicated earlier, it is unlikely that the 1866 tax record is from Prince George's County. I am interested in the source for Clement Knott's death (in PGC) in 1871, since I have not found any death notice or probate record for him in PGC. Nor does he appear in PGC census records, except for a 75 year-old Clemen Knott in 1850 in the Piscataway District (which IS the 5th district, which is suggestive vis-a-vis your tax document. . . . ) Maybe we have two Clemen(t) Knotts . . . I'll keep looking, and let you know if I find anything - have you tried the "National Intelligencer"?
