Have you looked at the administration (or estate) file at the Maryland State Archives? The Archives does have one for Robert Jones who died in 1823 (it's located in the old "1810" file)and if you're lucky, it will have lots more good information about the family connections. Otherwise, I don't find anything helpful here in our Prince George's County Historical Society library. Good luck!

: Does anyone have any information about a
: ROBERT JONES (my GGGG grandfather) who died
: in PG County by about 1823? He would have
: been born sometime prior to 1775. According
: to a property record he may have been
: related to a RICHARD JONES of PG County.
: Robert Jones married ELEANOR BEALL (daughter
: of Revolutionary War Brigadier General REZIN
: BEALL) in 1812 at Montgomery County,
: Maryland. They had three children, Mary Ann
: Jones, Susan Jones, and George Washington
: Jones. After Robert's death his wife and
: children moved to Preble County, Ohio. My
: cousin and I have spent hours and hours
: looking for information about Robert Jones.
: There were several Jones lines in PG and
: Montgomery County Maryland during that time
: period, but we haven't been able to locate a
: Robert Jones nor have we found a link
: between the Beall and Jones families other
: than the 1812 marriage record. Any
: information would be very much appreciated!
