Good Luck road is named for the small village of Good Luck which was located in the area currently known as Seabrook. Good Luck had a post office between 1830 and 1876, when it was closed and taken over by Glenn Dale (Glennville) which developed because of the railroad, constructed and running by 1872 - a station/stop was established at Glenn Dale, and the village of Good Luck gradually faded away. Much of the alignment of today's Good Luck Road in that area lies on the line of the historic road to/from the village of Good Luck.
