I stopped at the house on Finns Lane yesterday - its address is 7718. This side-gabled brick house is typical of those built in the decade or so after World War II (it was actually built in the 1950s). You might have thought it was an older building because it copies a few of the decorative features from buildings of a century earlier (e.g., the corbelled brick cornice) though in a less sophisticated way. This house lot was part of a subdivision known as Finian's Court, subdivided in 1959. I don't know who the first owner/resident was (that would require research time that I simply don't have right now . . .), but I can assure you that it was not part of the old Lanham farm property.
