Hi, My children are descendants of Thomas Law and Eliza Parke Custis Law. Did you know that there is a portrait of Thomas Law at Mt Vernon, painted by Gilbert Stuart? It is on loan to Mt Vernon from my children's grandmother. My daughter Kelly was there when it was presented to Mt Vernon. You also likely know that Eliza and Thomas were divorced. The Stuart portrait of Eliza is currently on display in the National Portrait Gallery. It was in the recent Metropolitan Museum of Art show on Gilbert Stuart.
Hope this helps a bit with your research.

: don't hear from me.
