My name is Tim, and I am from Chicago, Illinois, USA. I am interested in learning more about silat in my and in general. I have studied silat in seminar fashion, yet you really can only learn so much in a seminar. I am looking for a silat instructor in Chicago,N.W. Indiana, or even Wisconsin Areas. I was wondering if u can please help in my search for an istructor. I have stayed in contact with the Chicago Consulate General of Indonesia for at least seven years now. A friend of mine pak Ngurah in the cultural department has tried himself to find me a teacher too. There was a guru on the board at the consulate from 1994 to 2007, yet he never could get permission to teach. At least this is what I was told. If u can help me, I would be greatfull.
