I would say it is relatively, but worth every cent. Average annual vet bill: $50 check up, $150 heart worm medication (depending on size of dog) + $100 yearly vacinations +++ everytime they get sick. Put it this way, our one lab has cost us over $4000 in vet bills (3 seperate conditions) but we wouldn't have it any other way ... they are part of the family.
