Hi - things I can think of - i am sure i will think of more...
Telephone
TV license
Rates and taxes
City of Joburg accounts 9or whatever city)
Electricity
Schools
Mag subscriptions
Bank accounts (if you don;t want to keep one open)
Insurnace
Pension
Medical aid
Do all taxes
Pay all dr bills
Car
Cell phone account
Unemployment Insurnace for domestic workers or gardeners
Arrange storage of household goods if they are not coming immediately (don't foget marine insurance for shipping)
Scan all id documents (id, passport, etc., any and all)
Get letter from national department of transport to verify your years of driving experience or you will have to do all levels of the graduated drivers license.
get letter from insurance company outlining your driving no claim record (driving)
Copies of school reports (if relevant)
CV - do not bring a 10 page CV, redo and make sure it is 2 page max. I mean max.
Letter from your bank to say your account is in good standing
Any medical prescriptions incl. glasses and extra medicine for at least 3 months
Drs contact numbers in case your meds are unavailable or names are different
So, by no i am sure you wished you never asked...good luck - and my advice - what you think will take 1 day, will take 3, at least, so give yourself time.
Hope this helps. Tanya
