Hi Everyone, does anyone know or has anyone had experience with sponsoring their parent from within Canada? Has anyone done it?

Also With a sponsorship I know that we will be responsible for my mom for x amount of years, but I was wondering will she ever be able to get any benefits from the government? such as pension etc?
