Hi. We moved here 4 years ago and brought 3 big dogs with us. It wasn't easy to find place to rent. We eventually registered with homefinders and got a place the next day. We didn't mention pets at all when we call the landlord. Once we were at the appointment and they liked us we mentioned the dogs and said that they were SA dogs which means they are outside dogs (although ours were kinda indoor dogs) and were trained only to "go" outside. We also offered to pay a few months rental in advance. He was quite happy with the dogs and us and we got the place.
Depending on what you have already planned I would suggest that you get here first and find a place then send for the dogs. Ours went to the kennels who were doing the shipping and they arrived 3 days after us and we hadn't got a house yet. We stayed in a basement suite for a month and the dogs were not allowed indoors at all and it freaked them out. In hindsight it would have been better to leave them in one strange place (the kennels) for an extra few weeks rather than go kennels, strange house and then another house. If you want to know anything else feel free to email us.

: Hi. We are planning our move to Canada, most
: likely Vancouver and will be bringing three
: large dogs with (two boxers and a golden
: retriever). It seems from our website
: searches that finding a rental that allows
: pets is pretty slim. House prices are so
: high that we are scared we cant afford
: anything. Can anyone give us some concrete
: advise? Thanks
