Roderick Assuming you are not spending any of this on assets (i.e. car, house down payment) you should easily live for a year plus on this amount if you are frugal and careful. some rough guidelines follow Rent 1200-1500 pm Utilities 200-400pm Transport buses etc 100-260 (3 x monthly passes) Phone 45 (local only) Long Dist. 40pm Hispeed Internet & newspaper subs 55pm Groceries (food, household & personal products) 1200pm not an exhaustive list --Previous Message-- : How long would CAD$50,000 last a family of : three just starting outin Canada with no : accomodation or employment?
