Greetings all.
I am just finishing a short tour with singer, Jennifer Warnes in the US and Canada. Very interesting for me as I am playing bass, lap steel, dobro and mandolin on the tour. Nice folks and sweet music.
Next week I am embarking on my first solo house concert tour in the Netherlands. Small venues, I played there a number of times with CPR, and to my surprise, my solo gigs are starting to sell out! Needless to say, I am very pleased. I plan to do one in CT in June...more on that in a minute.
This summer I have been invited to take part of a tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of Woodstock with Jefferson Starship in the US and Europe along with a number of other bands who played at the original festival.
The tour will also take us to Mashuntucket on Aug 14th and the original festival site in Bethel along with Ten Years After, Mountian, Big Brother and the Holding Co, Levon Helm and others on Aug 15th.
For those of you in the CT area, dates in June are being arranged but I wanted to let you know of a special solo performance I am doing in Hartford on Sat June 27th.
Besides some of the various ensemble gigs you might be familiar with, I am also doing one special (limited seating) solo performance in Hartford at The Tapeworks Recording Studio, which is owned by my dear friend, Doug Kupper (who is also in the band Show Biz Kids).
I will be performing in a more intimate house concert style, where I will talk about and play some original solo material; material I have co-written with other established artists that have appeared on recordings with, or by other artists, as well as some jazz and blues standards.
This concert on Sat, June 27th, is a BYOB/potluck. i.e., Bring what you might like to drink and for those interested in coming a little early, there will be some refreshments provided and whomever might like to bring a special dish to share around 6:30 pm for food and conversation, all the better. The music will begin at 7 pm.
The tickets are $25 per person. I advise those of you to reserve tickets in advance as there is limited seating. Please email me at thepeev@aol.com to reserve your seats and thank you for supporting live music!
My only request is if you reserve them to pay at the door, that you would assume the responsibility of their cost, regardless, as there is limited seating, unless you let us know in advance of cancellation. Thank you for your understanding.
