What I remember about Jeff's tenure with CSN (I was pretty much dead to the world during CPR (darn!!)) was his warmth and kindness to the fans, his patience with them (including me), how he provided some great perspective not just on the music but on the muse and the situation involved when making the music, his eloquent messages--like the one posted in this string, his sense of humor and his smile/laugh and last but certainly not least, the way he pushed Stills with his stellar guitar play. If the private emails I get and the discussion on a certain Google discussion group are any indication, Jeff's involvement with the boys is being missed by the CSN fans. I know Dean Parks is a wonderful guitarist--however, there is only one guitarist that I want to hear play any CPR song and it isn't Dean Parks. I have no idea what the setlist will be for the CN with Dean Parks and the rest of the CPR band, but I'm not taking a chance hearing someone else play those tunes. I'll just put Wiltern or Cuesta College on the cd player and enjoy the music there. Jeff--if you read this--I hope you believe you are missed by a large number of loyal CSN fans and they miss more than the guitar playing--they miss the person and what he brought to the group that made those tours so great!! You provided a large number of fans with some wonderful memories and I, for one, thank you for those!! Time does march on and it is a different path now. Growth and feeding the muse is so important in one's artistic life. May your muse continue to shine on you.
Dave-so true it's the boys loss.
