I just listened to some of that CPR music during the last week on my way to the recording studio, as I hadn't heard it in ages..... and I agree.....It is some of Crosby's best music....ha ha...but in all honesty, as you know, the guy has been making incredible music his whole life with all the musical combinations he has been involved in. That being said, I'm quite thankful to have been involved for a little chunk of it..... So admittedly, I share your interest and wish....but at the same time, as we all know, life moves on and there is much to do. If it happens to come around again, it's only possible if all participants are hungry for the challenge, dedication and work involved. I think CPR was a brilliant combination of flavors and colors as the seperate individuals all brought a myriad of styles and textures to the music. Fortunately the recordings and live tapes tell of this lovely piece of time. For myself, to have be invited into a reunion of Father and son and then have it turn into so much more than that...I am in gratitude and I am very much honored. Before CPR, I was invited to share music with Crosby and Nash when they weren't working with Stills and that was equally a huge honor for me. I loved working with the 2 of them and I look fwd to more opportunities with that if the planets align. I cannot help to love these people as if they were my brothers, but as time moves on everyone's priorities shift and that's a also an important thing for us all to experience, as well. We all have much to do on our own. I know I do. If the planets align and we revisit the sonic playground together, it would be a joy I'm sure. Meanwhile the CPR band is touring with Crosby/Nash this fall with Dean Parks on guitar who is a brilliant musician and a wonderful human being. I'm sure it will be a joy to behold. Since this shift, I have been enjoying my time working on various projects including my own compositions for a solo release as well as film and production music that has taught me many new important things, as every senario brings about it's own set of dynamics and lessons. I have learned a lot of things in my life through the amazing experiences of performing with the many talented folks I have been blessed to intersect with. As in life, there are never any gaurentees. I would like to think that everything happens for a reason and our playing music together for many years was part of our mutual growth. Taking time to do different things is also no mistake. It's all an amazing learning experience. Everyone who goes in with the best intentions comes away from these experiences fulfilled and enriched. If I never play another note with my musical compadres David and Graham I would still consider myself lucky beyond my wildest dreams as an aspiring musician, to have the contributed my art and heartfelt energy as an offering to a synergistic energy that we all could be proud to share together. If it happens again down the line....well then it's another huge gift, but the memories flow through me as part of my lifes experiences that feed into everything I do. Thank you for relating to this heartfelt music that we are all proud of. In service to the muse and light
D,
Jeff P
