Posted by Barb on 2/2/2006, 8:05 pm It was a no nonsense show, the artists came out did their song and were quickly escorted offstage by the men in black. There was no intermission, no big speeches, a few light stories by Tom Rush & Judy Collins. The Dawntreader started off the evening, I was a bit distracted by people finding their seats, so I don't remember who did that. Apologizes for the missed stuff. Up where the seats meet the ceiling at Carnegie, it's a tight squeeze, and people leaving their seats etc. Also when people applauded, the announcer kept talking, and it was impossible to hear what was being said. Audience for the most part was respectful and quiet during the performances. All the bands played wonderfully, and all did it with taste, style & class.
Show started at 8:00pm, with the host coming out reading a letter from Joni Mitchell, who could not attend.
