I guess not many people come here; no matter, I'll entertain myself by presenting a poem written by Jeffrey G. Allen:
Gazing upon the sea.
Day after day and night after night
Through storm, fog, or wind-driven rains
Sunshine or hailstorms I stand my watch
An unending vigil
Upon this rocky ground.
A Captains guiding light
A guardian of ships
That pass before my lone eye.
As the gulls dance upon the breezes
Someday soon the sea will bathe my feet
With its salty brine
Christening me as if to say
I am hers and she is mine.
