Another entertaining game full of great football and determination from both teams. It was clear to see why these two teams are first and second in the league. Another brilliant performance by Colin(Peter Pan)Fleet. Well done to all players and management of both teams.

: Another entertaining game with our old
: friends
: and rivals. The game finished all square at
: 1-1 with a late equaliser, thanks to a 30
: yard thunderbolt from Kidlington's Craig
: Simpson that gave City's Colin Fleet no
: chance.
: The first half mainly belonged to City.
: Andy Marriott had a header cleared of the
: line & Julio Baressi had an effort hit
: the post. Kidlington's Gary Parker had a 25
: yard effort which was turned away from Colin
: Fleet. City then took a fully deserved
: lead just before half-time, when Julio
: Barresi picked the ball up 30 yards out and
: weaved his way past 2 men, and fired in to
: the bottom corner.
: The 2nd half then started in much the same
: as the first with City dominating a fair
: share of the pocession, with Julio Barresi
: having a couple of headed chances that went
: just pass the post, and the best chance fell
: to Paul Spittle, who couldn't quite connect
: with Chris Fontaine's cross into an empty
: net. Kidlington then started to dominate
: the middle part of the game, and a couple of
: good chances for them went beckoning. City
: could not kill off the game with a 2nd, so
: it would need something special to get
: passed the stubborn back four and Fleety.
: Unfortunately it came with 8 minutes
: remaining. As I said earlier an absolute
: screamer from 30 yards from Kidlington's
: Craig Simpson absolutely flew into the top
: corner, giving Fleety no chance. The last 8
: minutes turned into a bit of a stalemate, as
: it looked like both sides accepted the draw
: wasn't a bad result in the end.
:
: FINAL SCORE: OXFORD CITY 1 KIDLINGTON 1
:
: Although disappointed that we didn't win the
: game, a draw was not a bad result. It still
: keeps us unbeaten for the season, and with
: Wantage only drawing last night to
: Shrivenham, it means Kidlington & City
: are still 1st & 2nd.
:
: Team: Fleet, Pagano, Tutton, Marriott,
: Lee, Fontaine, Dark, Spittle, Orlando,
: Rodney, Barresi. Subs: Holden, Southam,
: Carroll, Jennings.
:
: Next game is next Wednesday away to Chippy
: Old Boys in the 2nd round of the Oxfordshire
: Veterans Cup, kick off 7.45PM.
:
: P.S. Thought the Kidlington linesman in his
: 80's lycra aerobic shorts did a good job???
: Well done Turns.
