Sarah ...here is clear definition of PEDANTIC.........Pedantic means unimaginative. The book learning definition indicates that a person has only the information given to him/her by others, but has not correlated it to his/her own understanding. He/she is smart, but has no originality, no imagination.
In a society where conformity and knowledge are valued, pedantic would be a good thing. In a society where creativity and spontaneous expression are valued, it's a very bad thing and often used as a rather vicious insult.
I hope Lucy progresses under your parental guidence and her new team has a spanking website so that you can post your very interesting thoughts?
