Oxford City 1, Pilkington xxx 6, the boys were definately not at the races this morning, Pilkington were far quicker and determined in every department, but for a heroic performance by keeper Adam Turner in the first half then we would have been dead and buried by the break instead we went in all square at 1 apiece, at the start of the 2nd period the boys started to pressurize and when Martin Esmell converted a Tony O'Donnell cross we sensed and felt thata result could be achieved but the goal was very harshly ruled out by the Pilks linesman, Pilkington took the lead with 15 minutes remaining and you could then see the fight just go out of the boys and we then conceeded 4 further goals in the last 7 minutes. The boys can play as they ave shown over the last couple of weeks but for thm to ave in as they did is far from acceptable to us all.
TEAM - ADAM TURNER,LEWIS COOK,MARTIN ESMELL,BRODIE ROGERS,RYAN BARNEY,SPENCER BAILEY,TONY O'DONNELL,SAM JENKINS,TOM MOORE,ELIAS WILLIAMS, ANDY INGRAM,CONNOR HALE,LIAM PALFREEMAN,DONALD ZUI,JACK SPENCER, BRAD OMAND ( all played )
Complacency in a team is not acceptable so we would expect a big performance and reaction away at Judgemeadow ( leics) next weekend
It was good o have Donald Zui back looking fit, strong and dangerous
