Early this year I moved from near Oxford to Nuneaton, upset at not being able to watch OC play football every week, as I had done for the past 7 years. Still a blue and white club, I now go to watch Nuneatons home games. What a shock yesterday after watching last seasons final games. I really thought you would be up there with the best of them early on this year. True its early days, but the team lacked spirit in my opinion. Obviously some of the players have changed, but the ones that are still there did not play the same. On the grapevine heard some of the new players are being paid over and above most of last seasons players, some of whom I recognised as ex United players, and they were awful, especially the defenders, and can only assume on yesterdays performance United were well rid of them. You should have held on to the team that got you where you were last year. They were committed. However, all teams can pick themselves up with a bit of encouragement, and that's what the youngsters need right now. They did it for you last year, let them prove they can do it this year too. I will be watching with interest.
