Under 13s 2009-10 Season
Since the end of the 2008-09 season we have seen a significant expansion in the size of our squad with 27 boys now coming to our weekly training sessions. There is still room for a few more so if you know of any boy looking for a new club please feel free to invite them along to training.
This Friday evening (July 3rd) we will start the process of registration for the 2009-10 season. As you probably know we have entered teams in both the Saturday Midland Junior Premier League and the Sunday Oxford Mail Boys League. Some boys would prefer to play on Saturdays whilst others would rather play on Sundays with a few still unsure which team they will play for. League regulations state that a maximum of 18 boys can be registered for teams in each league and so a number of boys can sign up for both Saturdays and Sundays.
We hope that as many boys as possible will be able to play for the team of their choice. For those wishing to play in the more competitive Midland League, but not getting a regular Saturday game there will, of course be the option of playing on Sundays and so nobody should miss out.
To register for either of the two teams we require a deposit of £20 and we would like to start collecting payments on Friday. Total payment for the Midland League is £100 and that for the Oxford Mail Boys League £80. Please note you only have to pay one amount (£100) if you register for both teams. A registration form is attached to the group e-mail sent to all parents and we should be most grateful if you complete the form and bring it with you to training this week. If you do not have access to e-mail I will bring some forms with me on Friday. The balance is required by the end of August.
For those signing on for the Midland Junior Premier League we also require two photocopies of the boy’s birth certificate and two passport sized photos. For the Oxford Mail Boys League, those not already signed to Oxford City must provide either their blue registration card (which may be held by your old club) or if this is not available, a photocopy of the birth certificate and two passport sized photos. Some of you have helpfully already supplied photos and birth certificates. I would, however, ask for all parents to complete the new registration forms so we know which boys have signed up for the two teams.
If there are any problems please feel to contact either me or Roger.
