1st Game OBB 1 OCC 0
Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Lester Davies,Lochie Craig,Malcolm Blinder,Leyton Brandon,Joesph Hastings.
We all looked a bit tired on arrival, in the warm up and our body language looked like we just had to turn up to win, which is always a big mistake, the sunny morning also took it's toll, OBB sensed an upset and went about their business well but created very few chances, OCC missed a penalty and the follow up and had many chances blocked or saved we thought it was going to be one of thoseday's, OBB scored a breakaway goal.
2nd Game OBB 1 OCC 4
Team:Jack Tutton,Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Ross McMahon,Robbie Morton,Cameron Gray,Ben Smith,James Oliver.
This game started at the correct pace and effort and Cameron Gray equalised from close range but OCC suffered another goal against to go 2-1 down, A long range goal from Jack Tutton enable us to draw level again and then Ross McMahon finished well from the left wing and Thomas Van Gucci half volleyed home following a corner which dropped in the box, completed the 2-4 overall scoreline to OCC and end the season.
Special mention must go to Ross McMahon who played his last league game for me today and also scored and was captain, he has played for me for the last two years and it has been a pleasure to be his manager, he listens and takes on board information and uses it,his workrate and sweet left foot has taken him to the next level, he is joining Reading FC Academy as an Under 9 for next season, he was playing up a year for us already as he was a U8 this season. Good luck Ross from everyone.
All the squad members and both teams have made this season fantastic, finishing third placed in the league from 14 teams with 64 points, Didcot second placed with 66 points and Radley top with 67 points just shows how close the league was.
The top three teams in this league all winning or losing to each other, either home or away made it very interesting and on any other day results could be different between these three teams it's that close for the future.
Played 26 Won 21 Drew 1 and lost 4 has shown again how the players have constantly performed at such a young age.
Once again it's been a pleasure to manage and train the players, We are now looking forward to our Great Yarmouth Tour at the end of May and next season already.
Joint Presentation night with the U13's on Friday 13th June 2008 in the Clubhouse starting at 6.30pm Ticket £10 per family and £5 for Extra couples/Grandparents etc...
