Ardington B v Oxford City Colts B
Despite most of the pressure from Ardington, Oxford City was equal to the task, with Megan and Carlitos bossing the defence they worked really well together. Tadhg ran the midfield making some great runs through the Ardingtons defence. This was a good game to watch and both teams deserved to get something out of it.
Final Score: Ardington B - 0 Oxford City Colts B - 0
Marston Saints v Oxford City Colts A
Luke Milward made a great start in this game with a powerful shot heading towards goal, all of our supporters starting celebrating the first goal of the tournament only too soon to realise that the ball had in fact hit the side netting. Morgan kept us in the game with a great goal line save. Luke Martin & Kian played with great presence at the back. In the second half Luke Milward was brought down in the box for a penalty, which was despatched home with great skill from Jamie.
Final Score: Marston Saints - 0 Oxford City Colts A - 1
Ardington A v Oxford City Colts B
With Ben now on the pitch Sam made his Oxford City Debut in goal and was impressive between the sticks, this game was equal and Oxford City Colts had some good plays, they defended well and the midfield consisting of Thomas, Tadgh & Ben were passing and communicating well together. Andrew made plenty of space up front by making some intelligent runs. Despite this Oxford City Colts B Team were unable to capitalise.
Final Score: Ardington A - 0 Oxford City Colts B - 0
Ardington B v Oxford City Colts A
This was a very confident display from Oxford City Colt A team, they played most of the game in the Ardington half. The Ardington goalie was well up for the pressure from the Oxford City team. Despite the Ardington goalies resilience Jamie netted an excellent goal.
Final Score: Ardington B - 0 Oxford City Colts A - 1
Marston Saints v Oxford City Colts B
Megan played great in defence during this game; she was barking the orders to everyone all over the pitch. Tadhg bossed the midfield again and it almost paid off, but a great save from the Marston Saints goalie denied him a goal. Even with Oxford City defence standing strong Marston Saints capitalised on a small mistake to score.
Final Score: Marston Saints - 1 Oxford City Colts B – 0
Ardington A v Oxford City Colts A
The scoring in this game was opened with a screamer of a free kick by Ollie Chung, he struck the ball with great might and accuracy and found the top left hand side of the goal. The second was added by a great run by Declan, he ran nearly 3/4, s the length of the pitch and slotted it past the Ardington B keeper with poise and confidence. Luke Milward had a big game and helped his defence by using bags of energy. Two great goals that deserve to win any game.
Final Score: Ardington A – 0 Oxford City Colts – 2
Oxford City A v Charlgove A
With the confidence growing in the Oxford City Colts A team, we started this game excellently. Oxford City were given the second penalty of the tournament which Jamie, yet again converted with enormous self-belief. Kian and Luke Martin played very well at the back again and shared their responsibilities to get up and attack while also keeping one eye on their defensive duties.
Final Score: Oxford City Colts A – 1 Charlgrove A – 0
Oxford City B v Charlgove B
Oxford City Colts B lost their way a bit in this game. The players were leaving their positions, and were chasing the ball and not marking up on the opposing team. Oxford City conceded a penalty and despite coming off Sam hand it crept in past the past. We did have our chances and Bailey made some good running and he also hit the side netting.
Final Score: Oxford City Colts B – 0 Charlgrove B – 2
Oxford City A v Charlgove B
Luke Martin had an early chance to open the scoring in this game, he crossed the ball and missed the far post by a matter of millimetres. On his second attempt Luke Milward ran nearly the whole length of the pitch past numerous Charlgrove players and finished in some style. Later in the game Jamal had an explosive shot saved by the Charlgrove keeper. Passing was excellent throughout the game and our player made plenty of movement off the ball. Leo also made some great saves to keep our clean sheet in the tournament intact.
Final Score: Oxford City Colts A – 1 Charlgrove B – 0
Oxford City B v Charlgrove A
The team took some constructive criticism on board and were a totally different team in this game, they kept their positions and their communication between each other was much improved, passing between each other was much better and the team were not tripping over each other. Thomas made a brilliant through ball to Ben, whose powering shot was saved by the Charlgrove goalie. Charlgrove caught us on the break and scored, but we were soon to respond with an excellent passing move the found its way to Kyron who scored.
Final Score: Oxford City Colts B – 1 Charlgrove A – 1
Oxford City Colts A v Oxford City Colts B
At the start of this match all of the Players were called into the centre of the pitch they were told to go out and have a good game, play to win and most of all enjoy themselves. The B team seemed really fired up and made a great start to the game they had a couple of chances at goal, the best of which was Baileys effort that just crept past the post and wide, from there on the game was pretty even and despite a late resurgence from the A team the game finished to a well deserved draw for both teams.
Final Score: Oxford City Colts A - 0 Oxford City Colts B – 0
