As I drove home to Hampshire after the game it occurred to me it was 30 years almost to the day that City won promotion to the Isthmian Premier by winning at Harlow Town. I remember the committee drank the Harlow boardroom dry and then both buses (team and officials on one, supporters on the other) stopped at the Glider pub in Dunstable and drank that dry too! Singing "We've got the best goalie in the land" and then "Best right back", "Best Left back" etc etc. Luckily there was only one sub in those days!
Once back in Oxford it was all over to the Head of the River to drink Holsten pils out of a bottle - both The Head and Holsten were the rage then!
I don't remember anytrhing after that. Colin in Tenerife, can you add any info?
