All the officials arrived together at about 7.05pm so while I agree with your comments re early decision again there was/is nothing we could do.
Only a ref can postpone a game as I'm sure you're aware.
Again, the logistics of last night were a nightmare - had game gone ahead because I think we'd have still had a couple of hundred people outside at 8pm!

: Bab, I'm not blaming Didcot, but the comments
: from players and officials of both clubs,
: once the decision had been made, was that
: the pitch had not been fit to play on at
: 7.00 and the rain was constant. If you add
: to that the agreed delay till 8.00 and the
: fact that spectators were left out in the
: rain and not let in to the ground, you would
: have had the vast majority not in the ground
: at kick off time had the game gone ahead,
: leading to more frustration. I believe a
: decision could have and should have been
: made a lot earlier - even without the ref.
: there you would have had 3 other officails
: (I assume there is a 4th official for games
: of such importance) who should have made the
: decision.

: Jimmy
: I appreciate your frustration it was no fun
: getting wet and cold especially after a long
: trip.
: However, there really is nothing a club can
: do when the rain in the hour preceeding KO
: is what makes the pitch unplayable. Loop
: Meadow drains very well, if the rain had
: stopped at 7pm the pitch would have been
: fine.So today we'll keep you as informed as
: we can but ultimately you have to take a
: chance, like the rest of us.

: As I wasted 3 hours travelling last night
: and
: have the same trip tonight would it possible
: for some to let us know on here if the game
: is called off during the day - I see the
: weather forecast is not very good and the
: chances of more rain on an already
: waterlogged pitch must make the game
: doubtful. I would hope the league has enough
: sense to inspect the pitch a bit earlier
: than was managed last night.
