Bab, I'm not blaming Didcot, but the comments from players and officials of both clubs, once the decision had been made, was that the pitch had not been fit to play on at 7.00 and the rain was constant. If you add to that the agreed delay till 8.00 and the fact that spectators were left out in the rain and not let in to the ground, you would have had the vast majority not in the ground at kick off time had the game gone ahead, leading to more frustration. I believe a decision could have and should have been made a lot earlier - even without the ref. there you would have had 3 other officails (I assume there is a 4th official for games of such importance) who should have made the decision.
