Witney played OCFC a couple of years ago in the semis and Witney won the toss and hosted the semi. Having missed a few really good early chances (Lee Keyes having at least two chances to put the Blanketmen in the lead) they lost 2-1 (although I am not totally sure about that score)
I also believe that Witney were once involved in another 'toss of the coin' that occurred over the phone - that they lost! - Trussing people those Witney folk!

: Agreed, it does seem a very unusual decision.
: Has this happened before?

: Makes you wonder why NL and Kiddy didn't opt
: for same chance to stage it? The winner of
: the toss will at least get a reasonable
: bar/food take - whereas on neutral ground
: neither side makes a bean out of it.

: You would need to ask the OFA about that but
: I
: believe it was agreed between the OFA, City
: & Banbury.

: Out of interest, why is the City/Banbury tie
: not to be played at a neutral venue whereas
: the Kidlington/North Leigh one is?

: A toss up to the decided the venue for the
: City & Banbury Semi will take place at
: the Kassam Stadium overseen by Mick Brown
: secretary of Oxford United. I would think
: soon.Kidlington v Northleigh will be played
: at CPF. Thanks to BC for the info.
