Feels very good doesn’t it being at the top end of the league table! Now is a good time I would suggest for all supporters to do that bit extra to help City stay in the ascendancy by consistently supporting the fundraising opportunities at the club (and please by all means feel free to suggest or organise other initiatives).
Here are just some examples of simple things that you could do right now that would contribute more to club funds;
o Subscribe to the City Lottery from just £1 per week (£1100 weekly prize fund) – specifically allocated for facility developments
o Encourage family and friends to subscribe to the City Lottery – or become an agent.
o Buy a programme and ‘golden goal’ ticket on matchdays
o Eat and drink from the refreshments hatch (the best burgers and bacon rolls in the league)
o Arrive earlier/leave later - use the (recently refurbished) clubhouse before and after the match – but drink sensibly!
o Purchase club merchandise from the Hooped Hut – some great Christmas presents for family and friends!
o Buy your Christmas Box Raffle Tickets – from just 25p with over 120 prizes.
o Sell Christmas Box Raffle Tickets to family and friends
o Sponsor a player’s kit – from £75
o Sponsor a match – from £150
o Hire the clubhouse or boardroom for family parties or business meetings (venue hire is our fastest growing income stream)
o Encourage others to attend matches – gate revenues are 20% up this season and the trend is sure to continue
o Try and utilise those businesses that advertise and sponsor the club – and tell them where you saw their advert.
o Find time to come and watch the other Oxford City teams and use the facilities – Nomads, Youth, Veterans, Ladies, Colts, Girls, Casuals
o Generally promote and be positive about Oxford City – you probably all do this already!
Justin, Mike and all the players and coaches are clearly doing a great job this season and all the hard work behind the scenes by all the other officials, coaches and volunteers to expand and promote the Oxford City footprint in the community is also right on schedule. We are ambitious and we very much appreciate the regular supporters – together we can take this club to a much higher level.
